You can just buy one of our premium Apple Boxes, packed with our homegrown, juicy McIntosh apples – one of North America's truly great varieties, a red and green apple with bright white flesh and a distinctive, refreshing flavor. Kauffman Orchards is a family-owned small business in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, established back in 1915 with a vision to provide the local community with fresh, nutritious fruit that enhances quality of life for the American consumer. Today, the orchard still follows that goal. Managed by the 4th and 5th generations of Kauffmans, Kauffman Orchards grows Nutrient-Dense fruit that has enhanced vitamins, minerals, and flavor. Cooking and Applesauce – Mildly tart and quite aromatic, McIntosh is great for drying, snacking, most cooking purposes, and applesauce. Eat it fresh, slice it and serve with caramel dip, make a candied apple, slice it into salads, or make apple crisp or applesauce. This Apple Box contains premium, Nutrient-Dense, non-GMO, non-waxed McIntosh apples, and each apple has soft, high-density foam surrounding it to ensure protection during shipping. The 8-count box holds approximately 2.5-3 lb. of fresh apples; the 16-count box, approximately 5-6 lb. (about a peck by volume); the 48-count box, approximately 15-18 lb. (about 3/5 bushel). We carefully pack each apple box with the best quality apples that were picked by hand in our orchard. Refrigerate your apples upon arrival.     The apples were in perfect condition. Excellent taste. Everyone we shared them with said it was the best apple they ever ate. We hope to order more soon.

    Growing up in New York State we had plenty of Macintosh apples in the fall. Where I live now Macintosh are almost unknown even in grocery stores, so I was very happy to find Kauffman Orchards who produce such high quality, delicious, healthy Macintosh apples!     First box of 8 I received contained 8 beautiful and tasty apples. Mcintosh are so hard to find so I was excited. The second box of 8 I ordered contained a couple pretty bruised up, but one in particular should not have been put into the box. 1 out of 8 apples in bad condition, when each costs $3.50, warranted follow-up. So I sent email to the Kaufman address but never heard back, so I'm a little disappointed with the situation. I'm hoping this was a one-off situation and plan to order from again though.

    I ordered these apples on line, and they arrived by FedEx inside a box packaged in foam. Apples looked great and cannot wait to bake my pies with them. I will be a repeat customer!

    I'm not able to get McIntosh apples here in Colorado Springs, so finding Kauffman farms turned out to be a great source for the best apples ever!!
