Workshop Details
Join us Saturday morning and learn all about grafting apple trees. You will receive hands-on experience in the art of grafting, taught by Clair Kauffman, our orchard manager. This class is ideal for fruit and gardening enthusiasts, aspiring orchardists, or anyone looking to expand their knowledge and skills in apple tree cultivation. Numerous heirloom varieties from our orchard will be available to choose from. Participants get to take home their very own apple tree.
What to bring: Kauffman’s will supply propagation materials, tape, grafting wax, and a snack! We will supply a sharp utility knife for those that don’t have their own grafting knife. The tractor barn is heated by wood stove, but we suggest dressing comfortably for the weather.
The class fee is $30 per person. Registration and payment can be completed online - see link above. To make other arrangements for registration, please call our orchard office at (717) 768-0050.
