God is Good
This, the week of Passover and Easter, we turn our thoughts to Jesus. He came as a baby. He lived as man. He died as a criminal. He rose and lives even now. Sitting at the right hand of God, his glory fills the earth. Even now, his people, his church, dwell here on this big blue marble called earth. Use this post as an invitation to a deeper knowing of God…
The Living Dead
Humanity, created in God’s image
Yet, We parody humanity.
Paul quoted, “‘All things are permissible,’”
then said, “but not all things build up.”
We say, “All things are optional.
Freedom to choose is paramount;
not what is chosen.
Sacred is Autonomy."
A path diverging our origin:
Image of God--
God is Love.
We choose not love,
We choose choice:
Sacred is Autonomy!
Autonomy you shall have
Permissible? Yes
Built Up? No
I choose
I want
I
Alone
Am
Dead
[Referenced:1 Corinthians:10:23-26]
A Moment
Pause
Ponder
Glory
Be Still
Know God
A better resurrection
I have no wit, no words, no tears;
My heart within me like a stone
Is numb'd too much for hopes or fears;
Look right, look left, I dwell alone;
I lift mine eyes, but dimm'd with grief
No everlasting hills I see;
My life is in the falling leaf:
O Jesus, quicken me.
My life is like a faded leaf,
My harvest dwindled to a husk:
Truly my life is void and brief
And tedious in the barren dusk;
My life is like a frozen thing,
No bud nor greenness can I see:
Yet rise it shall—the sap of Spring;
O Jesus, rise in me.
My life is like a broken bowl,
A broken bowl that cannot hold
One drop of water for my soul
Or cordial in the searching cold;
Cast in the fire the perish'd thing;
Melt and remould it, till it be
A royal cup for Him, my King:
O Jesus, drink of me.

God is good. God makes all things new. The Good Shepherd keeps and watches over you. May God bless us during this Passion Week and on this Easter Sunday.
