The Bird-in-Hand Bake Shop on Gibbons Road just outside the village of Bird-in-Hand is well-known for its homemade, old fashioned, wet-bottom shoofly pies. This 6" diameter shoofly pie from the Bake Shop gives about 3-4 servings of this traditional Pennsylvania Dutch dessert. A “wet bottom” shoofly pie has a gooey molasses bottom, cake-like middle and crumb topping. For those of us who have that irresistible sweet tooth, Wet-Bottom Shoofly Pie is a "must have".
