All-Natural Dutch Jell Pectin is a specially formulated fruit pectin blend that reacts with the fruits own sugars and acid to cause a jelling effect in homemade jellies and jams. When making Jams or Jellies, use 1/3 cup (rounded) of Dutch Jell Fruit Pectin instead of Sure-Jell, Certo, or Ball prepared Fruit Pectin Blends. This all-natural Fruit Pectin Powder has also been recommended by Dr. Peter Gott's nationally syndicated newspaper column as an aid for relieving arthritis conditions! It is an inexpensive alternative to SureJell and Certo pectin (we think it is better, too)! Dutch Jell dissolves quickly in grape juice or other liquids (stir for 10-15 seconds). Customers tell us that they use anywhere from 1-2 tablespoons in an 8 oz. glass of grape juice to relieve arthritic pain. For such situations, we recommend to increase the amount of Dutch-Jell in the recipe by up to double (instead of 1/3 heaping cup use 2/3 heaping cup).
