These scrumptious, homemade, Amish-style Whoopie Pies are a hit for snack or dessert! These premium Whoopie Pies, sometimes called “gobs”, are approximately 4" in diameter and are homemade by the famous Bird-in-Hand Bakery along the Old Philadelphia Pike (Rt. 340) in the village of Bird-in-Hand, bringing you a Lancaster County favorite that you now can enjoy in your own dining room! They are made with sweet cream sandwiched between two soft cake layers and are “round-ish”, meaning mostly round in shape but, because they are homemade, some have slightly squared corners.
